Landsburg is using his position as a professor of economics to promote rape, and the University is defending his right to do so. We demand he be fired immediately! He then argues that unconscious-victim rape should be outright legalized, because this would create an incentive for rapists to render victims “safely” unconscious before raping them. This guy is a grade-A sicko. Even putting aside his idea that mental trauma < physical trauma (which is a pretty big thing to ignore), does he not understand how rape works? Does he not understand at the very least the potential physical repercussions (pregnancy, bleeding, infection, inflammation, etc.)? Even if his thesis - that physical trauma is more important than mental - was correct, rendering someone unconscious and raping them is far from the “safe” situation he seems to think it is. AND THAT’S NOT EVEN GOING INTO HIS IDEA THAT MENTAL TRAUMA IS SOMEHOW THE SAME THING AS BEING REALLY ANNOYED BY SOMETHING OR THAT BODILY INTEGRITY SHOULDN’T BE RESPECTED BECAUSE “LIGHT PENETRATES ME ALL THE TIME” I MEAN GODDAMN WHAT. THE. FUCK?!! Blow this the fuck up people! Get that man fired. Shame that university for protecting him, and if you’re in the neighbourhood; RIP HIS FUCKING BALLS OFF WHAT THE HELL IS HE THINKING? IS HE EVEN THINKING? WHAT. THE. FUCK!?!
